The Cusco Tourist Ticket (Boleto Turístico del Cusco) is the entry pass to 16 sites in the city and its surroundings: Saqsaywaman, Q’enqo, Puka Pukara, Tambomachay, several museums, Tipón, Pikillaqta and the Sacred Valley parks (Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero and Moray). The full ticket (boleto integral) costs S/ 130 for foreigners and S/ 70 for Peruvians, and is valid for 10 days; there are also partial tickets by circuit. It is sold by COSITUC, in person only. • Peruvian fare: foreigners residing in Peru also pay it, with a valid foreigner’s ID card (carné de extranjería) or permanent residence. There is no special fare for the Andean Community.
  • Students: from 10 to 17 years old, an identity document is enough; from 18 to 25, a valid student ID or an ISIC card. The student fare applies only to the full ticket.
  • Children: free up to age 9. At the Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo, children pay for their seat from age 6.
  • Free entry: according to COSITUC, people born in and living in the Cusco region enter with their DNI.
  • Pachacútec Monument: it also has an individual ticket for foreign adults, at S/ 2.

Which sites it includes: the 3 circuits

  • Circuit I, Saqsaywaman: Saqsaywaman Archaeological Park, Q’enqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay, on the outskirts of the city.
  • Circuit II, City and South Valley: Qorikancha Site Museum, Regional Historical Museum (Casa Garcilaso), Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Popular Art, Pachacuteq Monument, Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo, and the archaeological parks of Tipón and Pikillaqta, south of Cusco.
  • Circuit III, Sacred Valley: archaeological parks of Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero and Moray (what to see at each one in our Sacred Valley guide).

These are the opening hours of the archaeological parks, according to the Decentralized Directorate of Culture of Cusco:

Park Circuit Hours
Saqsaywaman (with Q'enqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay) I 7:00 – 17:30
Tipón II 7:00 – 16:30
Pikillaqta II 7:00 – 16:30
Pisac III 7:00 – 16:30
Ollantaytambo III 7:00 – 16:30
Moray III 7:00 – 17:00
Chinchero III 7:00 – 18:00

What the Tourist Ticket does not include

  • Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail: their entry is sold by the Ministry of Culture at tuboleto.cultura.pe (see our guide to visiting Machu Picchu).
  • Qorikancha temple (Convent of Santo Domingo): the ticket includes only the Qorikancha Site Museum; the temple has its own admission.
  • Cusco Cathedral and the Maras Salt Mines: they have their own admission, which is not part of the ticket.
  • Guide and transportation: the ticket is only the entry; the guide and transfers are paid separately.

Full or partial ticket?

Do the math based on the circuits you plan to visit. For a foreigner, two partial tickets cost S/ 140 and the full ticket S/ 130; for a Peruvian, two partial tickets cost S/ 80 and the full ticket S/ 70. In other words:

  • If you visit sites in two or three circuits, the full ticket is cheaper and gives you 10 days.
  • If you only go to one circuit, for example just the Sacred Valley, the partial ticket for that circuit is enough.

On our tours: the Cusco City Tour requires the circuit I partial ticket or the full ticket, plus admission to the Cathedral and Qorikancha; the South Valley tour, the circuit II partial ticket or the full ticket; and the Classic Sacred Valley tour, the circuit III partial ticket or the full ticket. If you do all three, buy the full ticket. All our Sacred Valley tours are in Sacred Valley tours from Cusco.

Where and how to buy it

  • At the COSITUC main counter: Av. El Sol 103 (Galerías Turísticas), in central Cusco, Monday to Sunday until 18:00.
  • At the included sites themselves, except four museums: the Regional Historical Museum, the Centro Qosqo de Arte Nativo, the Museum of Popular Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
  • It is not sold online: you buy it in person. The new law provides for a digital ticket, which will be implemented gradually.

Three important things:

  • Validity starts on the day of purchase, not on the day of your first visit: buy it on the same day you start using it.
  • It is personal: it carries your name, it cannot be given away or resold, and at each site you will be asked for your identity document (passport or DNI) along with the ticket. If you are a student, bring your student ID too.
  • Bring cash in soles: COSITUC does not publish which other payment methods it accepts.

The new Tourist Ticket Law (2026)

On 8 May 2026, Law 32586 was published, replacing the previous ticket law. For Cusco, it keeps COSITUC as administrator, leaves out Machu Picchu and the Inka Road Network (Red de Caminos Inka), and provides for a digital sales platform. Prices and validity periods will be set by a committee, and the law also allows tickets to a single site to be sold.

The draft regulations were published on 1 October 2026, and their public consultation was extended until the end of October. According to the Andina news agency, the draft includes a unique code for each digital ticket and a full or partial refund if a site cannot be accessed. Until they are approved, the fares in this guide apply. We will update this article when there are changes.

Tips for using it

  • Plan your visits by circuit: on our tours, circuit I is covered on the City Tour (half day), the South Valley on another half day and the Sacred Valley on a full day.
  • Check the opening hours: the South Valley parks, Pisac and Ollantaytambo close at 16:30.
  • In the archaeological parks, you may not bring in food or alcoholic beverages, climb the walls or fly drones without authorization from the DDC Cusco.
  • If you have just arrived in Cusco, take the climbs and stairways at parks such as Saqsaywaman or Pisac slowly (more in altitude of Machu Picchu, Cusco and the Sacred Valley).
